What to Eat Before Early Morning Workout

The general understanding that most of us have about morning work out session is that our stomachs do not need any nutrients. Well (believe it or not) but even while we sleep during the night we are losing calories just by dreaming. Since you are low on energy, you might find it difficult to carry out the exercises. Hence always ensure to include foods such as protein shake, oranges, pistachios and apple to rejuvenate your stamina.

1. Protein Shake

Protein ShakeProtein Shake is the most simplest way to gain nutrients for building up lean muscle mass. Whey proteins contain building blocks which is beneficial for the anti-oxidant – glutathione. Besides the whey protein, you can also mix a scoop of soy powder, one cup of sweetened almond milk, half banana and ¼ cup of strawberries to make a delicious shake.

2. Apple

AppleIf it is difficult to include a 'princely' breakfast in the morning, try to rely on apples. This fruit is full of polyphenol antioxidants and hence strengthens muscles, reduces fat and promotes endurance. It also contains fibre which goes slow in absorbing sugars in the body. A simple, light and healthy fruit of apple is a must in your breakfast.

3. Low Fat Cheese and Wheat Pita

CheeseMany of us who are foodie will definitely love to include cheese in their early morning breakfast. Low fat cheese is rich in protein and calcium. This is why it aids in building strong muscles and bones. On the other hand, wheat pita is full of carbohydrate which is gradually digested while our body is kept energized.

4. Cereals

CerealsOne can also help get energy for morning workouts through cereals. The combined power of cereals, blueberries and yoghurt offers protein, fibre and anti-oxidants. Additionally as these superfoods are low in calories and lactose it helps promote a healthy digestion system.

5. Eggs

EggsA healthy breakfast can also include whole wheat English muffin along with egg whites. Highly rich in proteins, eggs provide the necessary supply of amino acid to build blocks that help in the repair and growth of muscle tissue. Whole wheat English muffin replenishes your body system with sufficient energy to carry out the workout.

6. Salmon

SalmonIf seafood is your cup of tea, choose salmon in your breakfast and get the right portion of energy before a workout. The combination of whole wheat toast, low fat cream cheese, smoked salmon and tomatoes is full of protein and carbohydrates. Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which also helps in increasing the metabolism in the body. It can boost up your metabolism as high as 400 calories everyday.
Often if you miss out on the most important meal of your day – breakfast, you end up ruining your exercise regime. With low levels of energy, it is certain that the workout session will not be as rigorous as may be required. Depending upon your appetite and the dinner (you have had the previous day), choose one or more of the above mentioned foods to make a healthy breakfast that gives you sufficient energy for a brilliant workout.

Pancreatic Cancer: Causes, Signs and Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment & Prevention

The Pancreas is the 6 inch long organ in the human body. Located behind stomach, the pancreas are spongy and shaped like fish. Pancreatic Cancer takes place due to uncontrolled growth of cell in this organ. This growth does not develop into healthy and normal tissues. Rather, they continue to divide while forming lumps of tissues known as tumors. These tumors interfere with the functions of pancreas. When this tumor does not spread and shows limited growth, it is referred as benign in most of the cases. Malignant tumors travel to other parts of body and grow, invade and destroy other tissues that are healthy.
Causes of Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic Cancer is the result of the uncontrollable growth of cells that do not die with time. Normal cells in human bodies follow a chalked path. They grow, divide and ultimately die. The programmed death of cells is known as apoptosis. When the process of apoptosis breaks down, the event results in cancer. There is no programmatic death of Pancreatic Cancer cells. The cells continue to grow as well as divide. Scientists are not aware of the exact reason of the cause of such behaviour of these cells. However, there are potential risk factors. Specific DNA type, family genes and carcinogens are some of the risk factors.
Signs and Symptoms
There are a number and variety of symptoms of cancer. They depend on the region where cancer is located and the organ where it has spread. It also depends on the size of the tumor. Pancreatic Cancer is referred as silent disease as the symptoms do not appear early. Even the later symptoms are non specific. The tumors of this type of cancer are quite small; hence, the symptoms are not visible easily. As and when the cancer grows, some symptoms that appear are:
  • Pain in upper abdomen
  • Unproblematic yellowing of the eyes and skin
  • Darkening of urine
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Weakness and visible weight loss

However, Pancreatic Cancer cannot be determined just on the basis of these symptoms.

Diagnosis
To be able to diagnose Pancreatic Cancer, doctors recommend complete physical examinations along with checking medical histories of the person as well as the family. The manner in which pancreatic cancer represents itself differs on the basis of its presence in the head or the tail of the organ. Tumors in the tail present with pain as well as weight loss while those in the head present with weight loss, jaundice, steatorrhea. For diagnosing this type of cancer, specialists give specia attention to regular symptoms like back pain, poor appetite, weight loss, tiredness, digestive problems, blood clots, etc.
Treatment
The treatment options for pancreatic cancer are dependent on the type of cancer, its stages, the degree to which it has spread, age of the patient, his / her health status, as well as other personal characteristics of the patient. There is no singular treatment for pancreatic cancer. This type of cancer is curable when it is detected in earlier stages. Pancreatic Cancer can be treated through surgery, chemotherapy and / or radiation. These are some of the common types of treatment. Treatment helps in removal of the cancer by relieving the painful symptoms caused due to cancer.
Prevention
Although there are no established guidelines to prevent pancreatic cancer, doctors advise people to quit smoking as it increases the risk factors. General preventive measures include maintaining healthy weight, exercising, intake of fruits and vegetables, etc.

Origins of Cancer

All cancers start from cells the body’s basic unit of life. To understand the cancer it is helpful if you know what happens when normal cells become cancer cells.

The human body is made of many different types of cells. These cells grow and separate in a controlled manner to manufacture more cells since it will help in keeping the body in good condition. When the cells become older or damaged, they die or and are replaced with new cells. However sometimes this process goes wrong. The cells did not die and when they should and new cells that forms in the body does not require them and the extra cells may form a tissue called a tumor. The tumor is classified into two one is Benign tumors and Malignant tumors. Not all tumors cause cancer.
